Megan's Football Prize Giving
Weekend at the Vaal
The weekend was brilliant!
On Saturday after Megan’s U/7 football team won 4-0 against Benoni Northerns in an away game – woooohoooo!
Afterwards, we drove through to friends who have a house on the Vaal Dam. We had a great time partying on the Saturday night with moocho Strawberry Dacqs around a massive bonfire scorching my eye brows and nose hairs and on Sunday we went ski-boating and tubing on the dam. Most of us came home with some sort of injury. Dirk broke his toes, Percy sprained his ankel and the rest of us nursed hangovers and sore bodies.
Gosh, my body is so damn stiff from hanging on to those inflatable’s. I have discovered muscles I never knew I had! Ouch! and I think I got fucking whip-lash from all the shuddering and pulsating along behind the boat in the Tea Cups. Not only did the speed on the water give me a free enema, but the ride vibrated all my cellulite away in one afternnon. Awesome!
We spent most of the day on the water and had a blast! For my girls it was their first time on a boat and Megan’s first time on an inflatable behind a boat. She was in her element! I couldn’t wipe the smile off her face - my wee dare-devil! Kaylin, on the other hand, was much more cautious and decided to remain in the boat.
We had a friend take loads of action photos on the boat with his professional camera and I will upload some of them very soon!!

Alberton Football Under 7s win again.
Alberton Football U/7s Lions won again today during a home game at AFC against Old Bens.
The score was 3-0 and the team was thrilled to win once again.

Alberton Lions 6-0 win against Benoni Northerns
Megan, my wee Football Star and her team, Alberton Lions got their new kit this week and were proudly wearing it at the game on Saturday. The team were on top form and slaughtered the poor wee Benoni Northerns team 6 - 0. They were over the moon!

2010 Weekend Football Tournament
So bang-slap in the middle of winter we will be travelling to the beautiful northern Drakensburg Mountains for the Lions Under 7's Alberton Football Club Soccer Tournament.Can you say brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr?
Its gonna be frikken freezing...
We'll be staying at the lovely Orion Mont Aux Sources Resort for the weekend while the wee nippers play footie. There will be special awards for the Best Goalkeeper and Tiger of the Tournament. Watch this space...
The big children aka parents will be treated to a Dinner Dance on the Saturday night and this years theme is "M". We need to think of something funky to wear to keep up the team spirit and have some fun. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Another prize for the best dressed man and woman.
Another AFC 2-0 Win against Leeds
One more win and we'll be top of the league!
Saturday's match against Leeds ended in a 2-0 win for AFC and what a good game!

AFC Wins 4-0
Alberton Football Club Under 7's Little Lions whipped the pants off Benoni 4 - 0 on their turf on Saturday morning. What an awesome game! They played like champions and shon like wee stars! I am so proud of them. They train so hard and play so well as a team. Way to Go Alberton Lions!!!

Congratulations to the AFC Under 7's
Alberton Football Club Under 7's won their rivals Benoni Football Club yesterday 1-0.
It was a happy day for our under-dog "over-flow" team and we whipped the pants off them. AFC played an awesome game and deserved to win. Our soopa star striker, Jason, scored the winning goal and he was dead chuffed.
